Tatiana Epanchin
Tatiana is the Co-Founder of Catalyst Public Schools. Prior to founding Catalyst, Tatiana was a Co-Founder of School Leader Lab, where she now serves as Board Chair. Before School Leader Lab, Tatiana was the Bay Area Regional Superintendent for Aspire Public Schools. As principal, her school increased its academic performance index by 150 points, more than three times the state average increase. She was awarded the National Title I Distinguished School Award for closing the achievement gap, an honor bestowed upon only 1 out of over 9,600 schools in the state. She began her teaching career with Teach for America in New Orleans.
Raymond Weeden
Raymond has over a decade of experience in the Washington, D.C., education, leadership, and policy sectors. For seven years, he taught math for Columbus Public School and The SEED Public Charter School. At SEED PCS, he became a New Leader’s Resident Principal. Raymond first served as Principal of Chavez Parkside Middle School. Under his four years of leadership, the school’s proficiency rates rose in reading from 26% to 46% and in math from 28% to 65%. Then, he served as the Principal of DC Prep’s Benning Elementary Campus, a top-performing, multi-site charter school in Washington, DC. In Raymond’s most recent role as Senior Director of Policy and Community Engagement, he successfully organized the school’s stakeholders while advocating for quality public education and student safety. He serves on the boards of the DC Special Education Coop. Statesman College Preparatory Academy for Boys PCS and Serve DC. Raymond is an alumni of School Leader Lab programming and has sent multiple leaders through our various cohorts. Raymond earned both his BA in Sociology and Master of Teaching from the University of Virginia. He also holds an MS in Education Administration from Trinity University.
Matt Bosch
Matt Bosch is Head of Strategy & Operations for Walton Enterprises, which serves the philanthropic, and business endeavors of the Walton family. In this role, he supports strategic planning and operational improvements across Walton as well as the Walton family’s personal and collaborative philanthropic efforts.
Prior to this role, Matt was a Principal at Boston Consulting Group where he was a leader in the Education and Social Impact practice areas. He led projects related to strategy development, organizational design, impact measurement, and technology implementation for a wide variety of public, private, and social sector organizations – including Teach For All, UNICEF, the Walton Family Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Department of Commerce.
Matt started his career as a teacher and school leader in public and public charter schools, where he was a founding team member of KIPP DC WILL Academy in Washington, D.C. He also spent 6 years leading strategy and data analysis programming for the KIPP Foundation. Matt received his MBA from the Yale School of Management and his BA magna cum laude from Harvard College.
Joaquin Tamayo
Joaquin Tamayo, a former high school teacher and principal, is Chief of Staff in the Office of the Deputy Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and a proud LGBTQ+ member of the Biden-Harris Administration.
Previously, Joaquin was a Senior Policy Advisor at EducationCounsel, co-founded and was National Director of the Middle School Kindness Challenge (now Teach Kindness) at Stand for Children, served in the Obama Administration and was also a member of President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Federal Taskforce, served as assistant director of the Aspen Institute Education & Society Program, and led a team of educators to found the Urban Assembly Academy of Government and Law (AGL). Joaquin began his career in education in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Joaquin holds a B.A. from Columbia University, a master in public affairs from the Princeton, and is a graduate of the New Leaders principal residency program.
Kelly Gleischman
Kelly is a seasoned education leader and nonprofit executive who currently serves as a Senior Advisor at EdFuel a talent development organization in Washington, D.C. During her decade long tenure at EdFuel, Kelly played key roles in driving organizational growth. As the Managing Partner (CEO) from January 2018 to July 2023, she quadrupled EdFuel's size, led strategic guidance, and oversaw business development and fundraising.
In her earlier role as Director of Programs, Kelly strengthened EdFuel's programmatic model and built relationships with senior-level leaders. As an Education Program Specialist at the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools, she ensured academic quality for 155,000+ students through monitoring and evaluation systems.
Kelly's education journey began with Teach For America, where she served as a Teacher Leadership Development Fellow and Manager. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Stanford University and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from American University.
Jonathan Caldera
Jonathan Caldera is the Principal of Edgewood Elementary Campus and Director of Schools for DC Prep. Jonathan has previously served as an Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, and as a teacher across various content areas. He leads with his core values of love, loyalty, growth, joy, and self-responsibility top of mind.
Jonathan has received principal training from Relay Graduate School of Education’s National Principals Academy, School Leader Lab, and the All Means All Program. Jonathan was in School Leader Lab’s founding cohort and is proud to bring alumni voice to the boad. Jonathan attended James Madison University for his undergraduate degree in education and George Mason University for his graduate degree in education.
